Connect team members with employee intranet
Our practice has created an employee intranet, or Web portal. Each team member registers to use the site and is expected to log on regularly. We post weekly newsletters, a monthly calendar of events, protocols, team meeting slideshows, important notices, benefit forms, CE opportunities, and links to useful resources. At our monthly staff meeting, we quiz everyone on items that are uploaded onto the portal to ensure that everyone is taking time to review the information.
This resource has alleviated much of the "I didn't know" or "No one told me" responses we used to get from team members. We've also found that employees who work the overnight shifts, are on vacation, or miss a meeting for other reasons can still obtain useful information in a timely manner.
