While it’s natural to want to take an uncomfortable exchange out of view and earshot of other clients, it’s important to keep the threatening person in public to help prevent the situation from escalating. Never go with a potentially violent person into a room by yourself. If the situation does find its way into an exam room or out of the public eye, keep a team member with you.
